A COMPREHENSIVE REVIEW OF TUTIYA (COPPER) AND ITS COMPOUND TUTIYA SABZ (COPPER SULPHATE) WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO AMRAZ-E-JILD

ABSTRACT

Tutiya (Copper) and its compound have been used for centuries in Unani medicine or other traditional systems of medicine alone or in combination with other natural drugs as, Daf-e-hikka (Antipruritic), Muhallil-e-waram (Ant-inflammatory), and Daf-e-afoonat (Antiseptic). This comprehensive review aimed to highlight copper's health benefits, focusing on amraz-e-jild and other ailments. We further examined the brief history, physiological role, and its morphology. In addition, we reviewed the therapeutic actions and uses, with different studies regarding its efficacy. Overall, this review provides more profound knowledge of the therapeutic implications of copper and its compounds as a lead formulation for treating amraz-e-jild and other ailments.
