Laxmi Kanna*, Chaudhari Tamima, Payal Bijjargi and Tiwari Balkrishna

ABSTRACT

To improve the bioavailability and therapeutic efficacy of hydrophobic medicines at the targeted area, the solubility enhancement technique is essential in formulation development. About 40% of the new chemical entities that have been identified by pharmaceutical industry screening programs face numerous problems in the formulation and development stage. The Bio pharmaceutics Classification System depicts that Class II and IV drugs have a low water solubility, poor dissolution, and low bioavailability.

Keywords: Solubility, need of solubility, BSCClassification, Factors Affecting Solubility of Solute in Liquids, Solubility Enhancement Techniques.
