Abstract

CONCEPTUAL STUDY ON KASTARTHAVA (PRIMARY DYSMENORRHEA)

ABSTRACT

Kastarthava is the most common gynaecological problem faced by women during their adolescence which causes significant discomfort & anxiety for the woman as well as family. The main symptom of kastarthava is pain in lower abdomen radiating to the limbs in the first 3 days of rituchakra associated with praseka, chhardi, bhrama and etc. Disorders of Yoni (Kastarthava) never take place without vitiation of Vata, hence first Vata should be regularized then Management for other Dosha should be done. The treatment Modalities includes external therapies, internal medication, Panchakarma, and activities advice of food and lifestyle changes.
