ABSTRACT

The masking of bitter drugs is now days topmost priority of pharmaceutical companies to improve the poor taste and palatability mostly for pediatric patients. Taste, smell, texture where taste is important factors in the development of dosage forms and in product preference. Good flavor and texture are found to significantly affect the sale of the product i.e. It’s a commercial success. More than 50% of pharmaceutical products are orally administered for several reasons and undesirable taste is one of the important formulation problems that is encountered with such oral products.
