A BOON IN SHALYA TANTRA- TRIVIDHA KARMA

ABSTRACT

In surgical part of Ayurveda, Acharya Sushruta has told in detail about preliminary surgical procedures (purva karma) – accessories which are to be composed at the outset, operative procedure (pradhan karma) – modes of incision at the different forms of surgical operation, after procedures (pashchat karma) - measures to be adopted after surgical procedures. Hence an attempt has made to recollect all the measures of trividha karma mentioned in Shalya tantra.
