CURRENT CHALLENGES OF PHARMACEUTICS IN AYURVEDA

ABSTRACT

Introduction: The ―NEW INDIA‖ also needs to be ―HEALTHY INDIA. In todays Era what the World demand we have to provide it, in that form, for better understanding, and for global acceptance. Here Ayurveda offers a unique opportunity to evolve a science of healthy life. In Ayurveda classics there are a detailed description about different herbs and mineral, but now a days due to loss of actual knowledge of classical concept behind pharmaceutical preparation of drugs are really painful, and these old concepts are not so suitable for currents scenario. In current scenario we have to use different modern technology for better understanding of drug dosage form, Expiry of drugs, machinery for bulk production, modern equipment for analytical testing, toxicity study, animal study, trained staff, upto international norms etc. Conclusion: Ayurveda is facing lots of pharmaceutical challenges, for that we have to include all the basic sciences like Physics, Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Reverse Pharmacology, classical concepts & method with various others areas for improvement.
