Abstract

REVIEW - PHARMACOSOMES: AN NEW APPROACH DRUG DELIVERY SYSTEM FOR LESS SOLUBLE SYNTHETIC DRUGS

Vaishnavi A. Salok*, Priyanka A. Shelke and Dr. Gajanana S. Sanap

ABSTRACT

Pharmacosomes are revolutionary fashion grounded on a lipid medicine delivery medium. Pharmacosomes are colloidal, nanometric- sized micelles, vesicles, or hexagonal assemblies of colloidal medicine dissipations covalently clicked to the phospholipid. New medicine delivery system substantially warrants about achieving the targeted attention to release the medicine at targeted point by using carrier system, altering the structure and medium around the medicine. Especially medicines which are having narrow remedial window are delicate to formulate, with the advantage of new medicine delivery systems like particulate, polymeric carrier, macromolecular and cellular carriers. They're used to reduce complications as well as release the medicine in a determined emulsion at targeted point. In vesicular medicine delivery system medicine binds covalently to the lipid patch by which the medicine release is in a controlled manner and also medicines which are of hydrophilic or lipophilic nature can be delivered by using vesicular medicine delivery systems. The release of medicine from the vesicles depends on the physicochemical parcels of both the medicine and carrier. Vesicular medicine delivery includes liposomes, niososmes, transferosomes, pharmacosomes, electrosomes, ethosomes etc. Of all these medicine delivery systems pharmacosomes are having further advantages like no leakage or loss of medicine, stability, high ruse effectiveness etc, pharmacosomes may be hexagonal summations, ultrafine vesicular and micellar forms. Both synthetic and natural medicines which are facing difficulties like low solubility and low permeability can be effectively formulated and can achieve needed pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic parameters. Pharmacosomes are prepared by hand shaking system, ether injection, solvent evaporation system, anhydrousco-solvent lyophilyzation, supercritical fluid approach and
