ABSTRACT
The present work aims to study the synthesis of Silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) using Tri-Sodium Citrate (C6H5Na3O7) and Silver Nitrate (AgNO3).The method applied in the synthesis is termed as chemical reduction by metal salts. silver nitrate (metal salt) acts as precursor for the synthesis of Ag NPs where as tri-sodium citrate acts as reducing agent. The characterization of synthesized Ag NPs was carried out for different parameters like particle size and zeta potential using particle size analyzer, absorbance peak by UV-Visible spectrophotometer, morphology by Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM).
Keywords: Nanoparticles, Metal salts, Chemical reduction, Zeta potential, SEM.
