SHIRAVEDHA OF SUSHRUTA SAMHITA IN VATA KAPHAJA GRIDHRASI

ABSTRACT

Ghridrasi is one of the most common disorders of Vata Dosha, which closely resembles with sciatica, which is characterized by pain or discomfort associated with sciatic nerve. Ghridrasi is a Vataja Nanatmaja Vyadhi. In this case a female patient of 53 years presenting with complain of radiating pain in posterior aspect in Sphika, Kati, Janu, Jangha and Pada region of right leg since 1 year. She is also complaining of Pada Suptata(Numbness) and pain since 1 year. She also experienced heaviness while working, sitting or standing. She has history of diabetes mellitus since 2 years and hypertension since 7 years.
