FORMULATION AND CHARATERIZATION OF POLYHERBAL FACE PACK AS A COSMETIC

ABSTRACT

The purpose of the present study to prepare and evaluate a cosmetic herbal face pack for glowing skin and to prevent Acne, scars, tanning, wrinkles, aging and redness etc. using natural ingredients .The main benefit of herbal cosmetic is that they are non-toxic. Herbal face packs are helps to improve blood circulation and remove dirt from skin pores. In this formulation we have used the main ingredients as Fuller’s Earth, Coffee powder, Sandal wood powder, Orange peel powder, cinnamon, Liquorice. The accurate amount of ingredients was weighed and ground into fine powder by using sieve no.120. After that all components were mixed geometrically by the serial dilution technique for uniform mixing. The formulation of face pack was evaluated for various parameters like organoleptic properties, physicochemical parameters, stability study along with irritability test.
