Abstract

FORMULATION AND EVALUATION OF HERBAL OIL BASED CREAM FOR FUNGAL INFECTION

ABSTRACT

The current study was to formulate and evaluate herbal oil based cream for fungal infection. Three herbal oil used for the formulation of fungal cream, namely, Peppermint oil, Eucalyptus oil, Thyme oil, mixed oil (Eucalyptus oil, Peppermint oil, thyme oil). Creams are formed by trituration method. All the prepared formulation of cream was evaluated successfully. Mixed oil cream show best antifungal property, so mixed oil cream is best formulation among all. It can be concluded that mixed oil cream, improve patient compliance, ease of administration, local bioavailability, and better proves for fungal infected patients.
