ABSTRACT
Nanoemulsions are clear, thermodynamically stable mixtures of oil, water, surfactant and co-surfactant. These are the oil-in-water type of emulsions with the average droplet size ranging from 5 nm to 100 nm. Nanoemulsions are thermodynamically stable transparent or translucent dispersions of oil in water stabilized by an interfacial film of surfactant and co-surfactant molecules having a droplet size of less than 100 nm. This review provides detailed information about
Nanoemulsion system. It is promising delivery of various drugs. It is nanosized submicron sized nanoemulsions, which are manufactured for improving the delivery of active pharmaceutical ingredients. In this review, the attention is focused to give up a basic idea about its introduction, advantages, disadvantages, components, factors, mechanism, and formulation method, method of preparation, evaluation and applications of nanoemulsion system for improving the delivery of therapeutic agents.
