ABSTRACT

Love is referred to as Prem in Sanskrit. More specifically, it's the kind of genuine love that drives complete dedication and devotion. Because Prem is the purest form of devotion (Bhakti), the Bhakti Yoga path of yoga is most strongly associated with Prem. In the western, love is often only discussed in the context of romantic or familial relationships, but in the Vedic tradition, love can be expressed in a multitude of ways. These are Kama (pleasure, desire, sexual love), Maitri (friendship), Shringara (romantic love), Bhakti (devotional love), and Prem (unconditional love), Maitri (friendship), Bhakti (devotional love), and Kama(pleasure, desire, sexual love) are mentioned in Ayurveda. There are Purusharth Chatushtaya is described as the Moola of Aarogya (optimum health) in Ayurveda, the Kama is one of Purusharth Chatushtaya. Our brain chemistry momentarily changes as a result of love. Brain chemistry may be affected by love. A release of brain chemicals may also be responsible for the exhilarating sensation of the heart skipping a beat or leaping out of the chest. Dopamine, a neurotransmitter that makes people feel good, is released by a person's brain when they fall in love. This release causes their serotonin levels to rise, which leads to the production of oxytocin. A happy emotion will spread throughout the body as a result of these three factors working together. Overall, from a neurobiological perspective, love triggers the same reward systems and brain circuits that are implicated in addiction. Positive experiences in daily life trigger the release of dopamine. When the body is engaged and energised, serotonin is released. When someone is in love, oxytocin is released. All of these hormones combine to release oxytocin when someone falls in love. Oxytocin is frequently referred to as the "love hormone." According to research, longer chromosomal telomeres are linked to lower levels of stress and longer lifespans, along with a rise in the hormone oxytocin and healthy gut microbes.
