ABSTRACT
Floating drug delivery system comes with the gain of sustained launch of drugs over a prolonged time frame thereby maximizing the oral absorption of drugs with narrow absorption window, it overcomes the demanding situations of conventional oral drug delivery system. The intention of the prevailing work turned into to broaden a unique floating in-situ gelling system for sustained drug shipping of Lafutidine. Lafutidine is a unique Second-generation histamine H2-receptor antagonist. It is absorbed inside the small intestine, reaches
gastric cells. The in-situ gelling gadget have been organized by means of distinctive polymers like sodium alginate, pectin, calcium carbonate, sodium citrate, and methyl paraben had been screened at one-of-a-kind awareness to reach at optimized method. Formulations have been screened based on invitro gelling time and behavior and drug release. All of the batches were evaluated for pH, viscosity, floating lag time and overall floating time, Drug content. The optimized batch (F5) observed the release as in line with Korsemeyer-Peppas version and drug launch from the formula can be first-rate defined via the Higuchi model due to maximum R-square cost amongst all of the models.
