Abstract

A COMPARATIVE CLINICAL STUDY TO EVALUATE THE EFFECTIVENESS OF MADHYAMARASNADI KWATHA WITH ERANDATAILA AS ANUPANA &SIMHANADAGUGGULU IN THE MANAGEMENT OF AMAVATA W.S.R TO RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS

ABSTRACT

Amavata is a disease explained in Madhavanidana is a chronic debilitating disorder affecting people who are indulged in sedentary life habits, incompatible foods &intake of food at improper time. It is often referred as the autoimmune disorder RA which affects the whole system of body particularly musculoskeletal system on a chronic course &often results in disabilities of the patient, affecting human resource of the country &thereby National economy. In modern medicine, often steroids, NSAIDS, DMARD, are giving as treatment modalties. But it has only temporary effect &on long course, it results in side effects causing organ failure. So it is the time to find out an effective medicine which is affordable and has persisting effect. This is a randomised controlled trial including 60 patients with trial group consisting 30 patients were given Madhyamarasnadi kwatha with Erandataila as anupana &Control group consisting 30 patients was given Simhanadaguggulu with koshnajala as anupana. The study was ended with the result that Madhyamarasnadi kwatha with Erandataila as anupana is more effective than Simhanadaguggulu in the management of Amavata.
