PREPARATION AND QUALITY EVALUTION OF MANJISHTADI CHOORNA: A POLYHERBAL FORMULATION

ABSTRACT
Ayurveda is traditional system of Medicine having a unique approach
and principles to study and treatment of various disorders. The
Manjishtadi Choorna is Prepared as per Kashyapa samhita. It is used
as a deepana, pachana, brimhana, rasayana drug for kuposhanajanya
vyadhi like karshya.[1] The present study is carried out to check quality
and purity of formulation using various parameters such as
Organoleptic characteristics, Microscopic evaluation, Phytochemical
testing, Physicochemical analysis, Microbial analysis, UV
spectrometry, Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC). These control
measures are essential to establish quality of formulation which can be
incorporated while developing the pharmacopeial standerds.
