ABSTRACT
Pharmacists were required to attend practice school as part of their curriculum as specified in the PCI syllabus. During the first semester of 4th year pharmacy, 150 hours of training were conducted at Venkata Rama Hospital and Lavanya's Skin & Cosmetology clinic in Vizianagaram. The hospital training enabled us to learn about the hospital system, equipment used in the hospital, dispensing of drugs, case studies, and ensuring the safety of patients. The experience gained through externships builds résumés and contacts within the professional world. A key outcome of my hospital training is the ability to analyze problems, develop professional identities, communicate effectively, collaborate, and recognize the role of pharmacist in society.
