ABSTRACT
Natural remedies like medicinal herbs may help individuals live long, healthy lives free of sickness. They are essential to our health. Despite having one of the most diverse medical cultures in the world, India's medicinal plant industry has a long and distinguished history and is still well respected today. Medicinal herbs are regarded to be far safer than manufactured medications as elixirs for treating a variety of diseases. In our nation, more than 2,000 medicinal plants have been recognised. Polyalthia longifolia, which is indigenous to desert regions of India, is often planted in Pakistan and Sri Lanka and is referred to as
"Ashoka" there. This plant is used in traditional medicine as an antipyretic. Researchers have discovered that the bark and leaves of this plant have antibacterial, cytotoxic, antiulcer, hypoglycemic, and antihypertensive actions. In this work, the pharmacologic characteristics of P. longifolia are fully investigated to provide guidance for future investigations.
