Abstract

ROLE OF JATYADI TAILA & KASISADI TAILA IN FISSURE IN ANO. A COMPARATIVE ANALYTICAL STUDY

ABSTRACT

Anorectal ailments are most troublesome to the mankind since known ever. The various anorectal problems causes the discomfort to the person in lifestyle and daily to day activities. The most common being the fissure in Ano. The Fissure in Ano known as Parikartika in the Ayurvedic science. Parikartika is a troubling and painful condition that affects a great majority of the population the globally. It causes both acute and chronic phase of problems. Chronic anal fissures are associated with persistent pain and increases muscular tone of the internal anal sphincter. Fissure in ano can be managed both surgically and conservatively based on the patient symptoms and onset of disease. In case of surgery post operatively about the risk of faecal incontinence.in Ayurveda the management being usage of taila and ghruta has great advantage in many patient which are being treated. The study conducted here analytically measures the usage of the Jatyadi taila and Kasisadi Taila in the patient having the symptoms of Parikartika. In this study Kasisadi taila was selected which is having effective Vrana shodhana, whereas the jatyadi taila being the Vrana Ropana properties. The Significant relief was observed in sign and symptoms of chronicity after treatment in Kasisadi taila. Jatyadi Taila application in form of Pichu proves more in the Ropana Properties. Symptoms such as Bleeding, Pain and Spasm relieves more with the Jatyadi Taila and a safe alternative method to surgical treatment.
