Abstract

APPLICATION OF KSHARASUTRA WITH FOUR LAYERS OF SNUHI KSHIR & HARIDRA IN THE TREATMENT OF FISTULA IN ANO - CASE REPORT

ABSTRACT

Fistula in Ano is a challenging disease to treat. It has high recurrence rate. Ksharsutra is an age old, gold standard modality in the treatment of fistula. Routinely used ksharasutra is made up by applying 7 or 21 different layers of plant extracts on linen thread. Preparation and application of ksharasutra with four layer of plant extracts - latex of E. nerifolia i.e. snuhi kshir & powder of c. longa i.e. haridra churna without compromising results can save time, efforts and cost of the treatment.
