IMPURITY PROFILING OF PYRIMETHAMINE: A REVIEW

ABSTRACT

Pyrimethamine is an anti-malarial drug which comes under the category of diaminopyrimidines. It acts by inhibiting dihydrofolate reductase enzyme (DHFR). In this work we are attempting to estimate the pyrimethamine by using HPLC method. Validation parameters like linearity, precision, accuracy, specificity, limit of detection, limit of quantification, robustness and ruggudness are determined. To determine the stability of the drug forced degradation studies are also carried out.
