REVIEW ON SOLUBILITY ENHANCEMENT TECHNIQUES WITH FORMULATION PROSPECT

ABSTRACT

Solids converting in to solution form has a greatest importance in the Pharmaceutical field. It may be measured in Qualitatively & Quantitatively called as Solubility of that particular compound. Most of the drugs relating to BCS Class II & IV are having less solubility, these class of drugs have given extensive scope to do more research to improve the Solubility of the drugs. Solubility enhancement lead to further improvement in Bioavailability of that particular drug. So, this present review was focused on the NSAIDs like Diclofenac, Naproxane to improve their solubility by using different Solubility enhancement techniques like Solubility improvement by Hydrptropy, particle size reducing, Nanotechnology, Co- Solvency, Complexation, modification of Crystal habit. Solubility of Diclofenac improved to 4.85mg/ml in pastillation method and solvent evaporation method. Naproxane drug solubiity was improved by Melt method & solvent evaporation method.
