ANTICONVULSANT, ANALGESIC ACTIVITY OF 8-AMINO QUINOLINE DERIVATIVES
Tyagi Alka* and Patil Bhavana
ABSTRACT A variety of semicarbazide and ketone derivatives of quinoline were created using 8-amino quinoline as a starting material, and analgesic activity, anticonvulsant activity, and neurotoxicity of the compounds were assessed using a model of chemically induced convulsions, acetic acid induced writhing response model and the rotarod test on male albino mice. The findings showed that the compounds 3-(Quinolin-8-ylimino)-1, 3-dihydro-indol-2-one (AQ8) and Quinoline-8-(1H-Indole-2, 3 Dione) semicarbazide (AQ3) were the most active, powerful, and least poisonous. Keywords: Epilepsy, Anticonvulsant, Analgesic, aminoquinoline, antiepileptic. [Download Article] [Download Certifiate] |
