Abstract

TARPANA: A SIMPLE PROCEDURE TO MAKE EYES HEALTHY

ABSTRACT

Ayurveda is life science that protects all. Human beings are precious among them. In Humans, Eyes are main sensory organ that a person needs to percept the whole world. Eyes receive many external stimuli daily which are harmful to it. There are many procedures to protect eyes and those collectively are known as Kriyakalpa. Kriyakalpa is the basis of the ophthalmic disorders, as Panchkarma is the basis of Kayachikitsa. For cleaning and strengthen purpose, eyes should receive a simple procedure i.e. Tarpana. This is a process by virtue of which eyes become non-responsive to bad stimulus. It also cures the eyes from many diseases.
