Abstract

ROLE OF ANU TAILA NASYA AND VYOSHADI VATI IN THE MANAGEMENT OF VATAJA PRATISHYAYA (ALLERGIC RHINITIS)

ABSTRACT

Allergic Rhinitis is the most common disease of modern era due to unhealthy lifestyle and increase exposure to environmental pollution. It is a type of inflammation in the nose which occurs when the immune system overreacts to allergens in the air. The prevalence of Allergic Rhinitis has increased day by day. Over the last decade Allergic Rhinitis represent a global health issue affecting between 10-25% of world population. Signs and symptoms of Vataja Pratishyaya includes Anaddha Pihita Nasa, Tanusrava, Gala, Talu and Oshtha Shosha, pain in Shankhapradesha and Swaropaghata can be correlated with Allergic Rhinitis. Runny nose or stuffy nose, sneezing, red, itchy and watery eye are the clinical features of Allergic Rhinitis. In the present study Anutaila Nasya and orally Vyoshyadi Vati given to the patient having Vataja Pratishyaya symptoms for 7 days. Clinical study carried out under designed protocol and results of study were assessed in term of effect on various symptoms of Vataja Pratishyaya. Vata and Kapha are said to be the predominant Doshas in Vataja Pratishyaya. Vyoshyadi Vati having Vatakaphashamak and Anutaila Nasya having Tridoshashamaka properties it will reduce the symptoms of Vataja Pratishyaya.
