Abstract

REVIEW OF DEEPANIYA MAHAKASHAYA BASED ON DRAVYAGUNA

ABSTRACT

Ayurveda have two purpose one is to maintain healthy body and another is cure the body from disease. In Charak Samhita sutrasthana according to karma drug are classified into 50 groups that is Mahakashay. Deepaniya mahakashay is one of them which help in maintaining the body health by proper digestion of food. Nowadays Gastrointestinal disorders are emerging due to the wrong habits of eating. Ayurveda has putforth the concept of agni for digestion of ingested food and its derangement is responsible for various diseases. This article is a detailed review of deepaniya dravya mentioned by acharya charak while explaining mahakashaya on the basis of dravyaguna.
