MANAGEMENT OF SHEETAPITTA WITH VAMAN FOLLOWED BY RAKTAMOKSHANA: A CASE STUDY

ABSTRACT
Background: Sheetapitta is a common skin disorder seen in clinical practice these days. Urticaria may be clinically related. It affects 20% of the population at some point during their lives. Sheetapitta is characterised by itchy red rashes on one or more parts of the body. Sheetapitta is not a life-threatening disorder, but it can have an impact on an individual‟s quality of life and way of life. However, there is no modern medication that can completely cure the disease, and some have common side effects.It is also possible for the disease to reoccur. Yogratnakar mentioned shodhana chikitsa for sheetapitta, which includes Vaman and raktamokshana. Sheetapitta requires the removal of all morbid doshas from the body, which is performed by vaman and followed by Raktamokshana. Materials and methods: A 25-year-old male patient came here with complaints of sheetapitta and amlapitta. In the current case study, classical Vamana was followed by Raktamokshana along with shamana chikitsa thereafter for 1 month was planned. Results: After result UAS7 was decreased from 28 to 0. Also sign and symptoms of sheetapitta are reduced. This proves significant effect of classical shodhana like vamana and raktamokshana in sheetapitta.
