ABSTRACT

Objective: The goal of this study was to develop Oro dispersible tablets of Ambroxol Hydrochloride for patients with respiratory disorders like bronchitis, asthma, and coughs, such as the elderly, stroke victims, bedridden patients, renal failure patients, and patients who refuse to swallow, such as pediatric, geriatric, and psychiatric patients. Materials and Methods: The tablets were made using the direct compression method. Sodium Starch Glycolate and banana peel powder were used as super disintegrants. Different binders, as well as super disintegrant concentrations, were optimized. Hardness, friability, weight fluctuation, disintegration time, and medication content homogeneity were all assessed on the tablets. An in-vitro dissolution test, drug-excipient compatibility, and accelerated stability study were used to further analyze the optimized formulation. Results: Dissolution testing characteristics of tablets manufactured with natural and synthetic super disintegrants of sodium starch glycolate (F1, F2, F3) and banana powder (F1, F2, F3). Comparing both the superdisintegrants the best formulations F5, and F6 demonstrated 99 percent drug release in 50 minutes and 20 minutes, respectively. Furthermore, these formulations have the quickest disintegration times of 54 seconds and 20 seconds, respectively, and have a medication concentration of 99 percent. Conclusion: As a result, an attempt to increase the solubility of Ambroxol using natural super disintegrants is stated to have been successful.Using the direct compression method, an attempt was made to improve the solubility of the medication by manufacturing the tablets with Ambroxol HCL. So, when doing the research, we discovered that among all of the formulations, the tablets produced with super disintegrant, banana powder of F5, and F6 release 99 percent of the medicine within 50 and 20 minutes. In addition, this formulation had the quickest disintegration time of 54 seconds & 20 seconds and the highest drug content of 98.22% and 95.87 percent. Based on the data, it can be stated that the goal of increasing the solubility of Oro Dispersible tablets utilizing natural super disintegrants was met.
