ABSTRACT
Hydrogel products are a class of polymeric materials with a hydrophilic structure that allows them to store enormous volumes of water in a three-dimensional network. Intrinsic and extrinsic ageing are two different and independent pathways that contribute to skin ageing. Due to its high water content, youthful skin preserves its turgor, resilience, and pliability. Moisture loss is caused by daily external harm, as well as the natural ageing process. Hyaluronic acid (HA), which has a particular potential for retaining water, is the primary component involved in skin hydration. The primary goal of this study is to get skin rejuvenating hydrogel contain hyaluronic acid. Hydrogel were prepared by physical crosslinking of polymer and carbopol as a
gelling agent. This formulations (F1-F4) are further evaluated for it’s physical appearance, spreadability, pH measurement, skin irritation test, drug content and invitro drug release study. The result of evaluation shown that the F2 having physical properties and good spreadability and invitro drug release profile. The conclusion obtained from this study is that Hyaluronic acid contain hydrogel are effective for skin rejuvenation.
