Abstract

A REVIEW ON WOUND HEALING AND ANTIOXIDANT PROPERTY OF ACHYRANTHES ASPERA

ABSTRACT

In the following work, a review is given on various works performed regarding wound healing and antioxidant property of medicinal plant Achyranthes aspera. It deals with study of wound healing and antioxidant property using different extracts like methanolic, aqueous and other solvent extracts of different parts of plant or whole plant using different methods. This study also involves invitro studies of antioxidant property and invivo studies of wound healing. The review finally concludes regarding the ability of Achyranthes aspera in wound healing and antioxidant property.
