Abstract

A CLINICAL REVIEW ON MUTRASHMARI ACCORDING TO SUSHRUTA SAMHITA – PREVALENT DISEASE IN INDIA

Santosh Kumar Yadav*, Amit Mishra and Kumari Nidhi Shree Bibhuti

ABSTRACT

Mutrashmari is one of the most well-known Mutravaha Srotas illnesses. Since Mutrashmari is difficult to treat and requires greater care for its treatment, Acharya Sushruta included it in the Ashta Mahagada. In contemporary medicine, it is linked to Urolithiasis or urinary calculi. The prevalence of Mutrashmari is increasing in the modern day due to a variety of circumstances, including changing food habits, modified lifestyle, stress, pressure, environmental pollution, etc. In Ayurvedic scriptures, these factors have been categorized as Nidana. Nidana Sevana plays a significant part in the occurrence of disease because it causes the Doshas to become more irritated, which causes them to produce Sroto Dushti along with Dushya. Given that Chikitsa is the breakdown of Samprapti Sanghatana and that both Vata and Pitta and Kapha are active in Mutrashmari's Samprapti, understanding the Samprapti is essential for illness treatment. Srotasa is a powerful Samprapti Ghataka for the onset of sickness. Pathya is a nutrient that Srotasa accepts. By avoiding the disease's causes and eating foods that are compatible with Srotasa, which suppress Srotovaroda and so guard against the disease, Srotasa is protected. The study of Mutrashmari in Nidana-Samprapti and the contributions of Nidana Parivarjana and Pathya Kalpana to their care are the main topics of this essay.

Keywords: Mutravaha Srotasa, Mutrashmari, Urolithiasis etc.
