ABSTRACT

Urtica dioica is a drug belonging to Urticaceae family with unexplored therapeutic potentials which is widely used in Himalayan region as a folklore drug in treating eczema, sexual disorders, sciatica and other musculoskeletal disorders. Urtica dioica is enriched with phytochemicals such as flavonoids, tannins, Histamine etc. As it is an extra-pharmacopeial drug.
