Abstract

AYURVEDIC MEDICINES AND BENEFITS

ABSTRACT

Ayurveda is a science of life with holistic approach to health and personalized medicine. Ayurvedic practice is around 3000 years old, with a long history of managing disease. According to the study of Ayurveda, the human body comprises three primary functioning energies or Tridoshas: Vata, Pitta and Kapha, present in all human beings in optimum level. Ayurveda helps us reduce, restore or maintain these optimum levels by offering a multitude of herbal medicines, natural remedies and rejuvenating processes (Panchkarma).
