SYNTHESIS AND BIOLOGICAL EVALUATION OF SOME NEW PYRAZOLINES DERIVATIVES

ABSTRACT
3-chloro-4-(2-chlorophenyl)-1-{4-[5-(substitutedphenyl)-4,5-dihydropyrazol -3-yl] phenyl} azetidin-2-one have been prepared by the refluxation for three hours of 3-chloro-4-(2-chlorophenyl)-1-{4-[3-(substitutedphenyl)prop-2-enoyl]phenyl}azetidin-2-onewith hydrazine hydrate in presence of ethanol the intermidiate 3-chloro-4-(2-chlorophenyl)-1-{4-[3-(substitutedphenyl) prop-2- noyl]phenyl} azetidin -2-one synthesized by the condensation of 1-(4-acetylphenyl)-3-chloro-4-(2-chlorophenyl)azetidin-2-one with various aldehydes. The title compounds were characterized by element analysis, IR and
NMR spectral data. All the compounds were tested for their antibacterial and antifungal activities by broth dilution method.
