ABSTRACT
Background: Celecoxib belongs to the class of highly selective COX-2 inhibitor NSAIDs. It is mostly used for the treatment of pain, arthritic conditions including rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis and in ankylosing spondylitis. It has also shown the property of anti-cancer drugs as it is showing promising results in cancer treatment. Analytical methods are crucial for evaluating compositions using sophisticated analytical instruments. In these methods, both qualitative, as well as quantitative results, can get. Spectral, electrochemical, chromatographic, hyphenated, or other analytical methods are possible. The development of analytical methods aids in the comprehension of
essential process parameters and the reduction of their effects on precision and accuracy. Following the reference, different regulatory bodies developed the standard and procedure for granting approval, authentication, and registration. Bioanalytical techniques are used to determine the concentration of a drug, metabolite of the drug, or a biomarker in bio-organic fluids which includes blood, plasma collected from human blood, serum, urine, and saliva, as well as tissue extracts. Analytical method creation is necessary to maintain high commercial and consumer quality standards, as well as ethical concerns. Objective: The primary objective of the literature review is to gather data on various empirical instrumental methods. Such information will be useful in the creation of a novel analytical system. Conclusion: Various analytical methods including high-performance liquid chromatography, reverse phase high performance liquid chromatography, UV spectrophotometric methods, Spectrofluorimetric methods has been developed for Celecoxib. The methods which have been developed are very sensitive, accurate, precise and reproducible.
