Hayyat Gempita Syakban, Syofyan and Muslim Suardi*

ABSTRACT

Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses that cause serious and even fatal lung diseases. The virus can spread very quickly and can infect everyone. Due to the high number of COVID-19 (Coronavirus Disease 2019), a health communication strategy is needed. One of which is by providing clear information related to COVID-19 and vaccines through the media as well. So that, misinformation does not occur. This is to increase public awareness efforts to prevent and overcome the COVID-19 outbreak. This review aims were to determine the influence of the media on the level of public knowledge towards COVID-19 and
vaccines in convincing the public of the importance of vaccination. The method of reviewing this article was is to browse for several websites such as Science Direct, Research Gate, and also through Google Scholar. Based on the review, the majority of people have good knowledge about COVID-19 and vaccines, while the information obtained comes from various media such as social media, print media, television, etc. But even though people have good knowledge about vaccines, not all of them are willing to be vaccinated.
