EVIDENCE BASED CLINICAL CASE STUDY OF AYURVEDIC MANAGEMENT OF VOCAL CORD NODULE

ABSTRACT
Profession has been the key factor in many group of disorders since ages. Nowadays due to hectic lifestyle, faulty diet habbits, improper working hours, stress, Emotional disturbances, the prevalence of such professional disorders has been increased. Vocal cord nodule is one amongst them. It disturbs the personality of the patient on physical and at psychological level. In some cases social isolation due to change In voice pattern or Social stigma may be seen. What is needed with such cases is to reassure them. Educate them with the predisposing factors. Avoiding the unnesessary factors which flare up the disease. Giving them proper conservative management etc. But in some cases in addition to this some extra care has to be taken. We are blessed with
the devine science of Ayurveda, which is complete In its own way. The condition of the disease, its Hetu, samprapti, sthan of occurrence, the way to control it, to treat it accordingly, to maintain the hormony between all doshas, dhatus and mala to achieve the primary goal of Ayurveda i.e. Swasthya, these are given in exceptionally beautiful way. In this case study, one subject with the Vocal cord nodule has been treated in Ayurvedic way of management using Pachana, Dipana, Anulomana, Shodhana and Significant relief has been given to the patient. The detailsof the case and ways of Ayurvedic management I documented in this study.
