Abstract

VITAMIN D DEFICIENCY AS COMPARISON OF RECURRENT PREGNANCY LOSS (RPL), SPORADIC PREGNANCY LOSS (SPL)

ABSTRACT

Many people around the world suffer from vitamin D insufficiency. A condition known as Recurrent Pregnancy Loss (RPL) has been identified and is being studied. is a contentious issue in reproductive medicine, where half of the cases are unexplained. the A failure to conceive in women with RPL may be due to immunological reasons. This vitamin has a vital role to play. The immune system has also been shown to benefit from D. The purpose of this study was to examine vitamin D levels. RPL survivors and RPL survivors alike have a lack of some factors in common. Pregnancy Abortion (SPL). A cross-sectional study of 60 pregnant women was done. 30 women with RPL and 30 women with SPL who had referred to the study Sciences-affiliated clinics in the last six months. Participant's thoughts Vitamin D levels in the blood were tested. Twenty of the patients had low levels of vitamin D (8 ng/ml). Thirty women (33.3 percent) had RPL, compared to nine (15 percent) of the thirty (30) women with SPL who showed an association. vitamin D deficiency (P=0.038) between women with RPL and those with SPL. the as well In women who had had four or more abortions, the median serum level of vitamin D was 9.20 ng/ml, compared to 10.85 ng/ml in those who had not. In individuals who have had three abortions, and 11.50 ng/ml in those who have had two. Vitamin D appears to play a role in bone health. In women with RPL, insufficiency plays a role in miscarriage because of an immune inflammatory dysfunction. response. Regular 25-hydroxy vitamin D testing and prescription of supplements are therefore necessary. are critical to the well-being of these ladies.
