DETERMINATION OF HEAT OF NEUTRALIZATION OF ACIDS PRESENT IN FRESH POMEGRANATE JUICE

ABSTRACT
Heat of neutralization is the energy released with the formation of 1 mole of water when an acid reacts with a base. Here we took Pomegranate juice which releases energy with the help of base, Strong base Sodium Hydroxide. Pomegranate contains Punicic acid which is found in pomegranate seed oil is main fatty acid in the arils. Its type of conjugated linoleic acid with potent biological effect. Pomegranate contain punicalagins and punicic acid, unique substance that are responsible for most of the health benefits. So we decided to study how
the juice react in stomach and releases how much energy.
