DEVELOPMENT AND VALIDATION OF UV-SPECTROPHOTOMETRIC METHOD FOR THE DETERMINATION OF RILPIVIRINE IN BULK AND TABLET DOSAGE FORM

ABSTRACT
The present research work was to develop and validate the UV-Spectrophotometric method for the determination of Rilpivirine in bulk and tablet dosage form as per ICH guidelines. A simple, rapid, accurate and precise UV-Spectrophotometric method has been developed by using Ethanol as a solvent for the determination of Rilpivirine in bulk and tablet dosage form. The maxima absorption was found to be 308nm for Rilpivirine. The developed method was found to be linear of the calibration curve over the concentration range of 5-30μg/ml with correlation coefficient value of 0.999. The limit of detection and limit of quantification were found to be in the range of 0.931μg/ml and 2.822μg/ml and the low %RSD values were indicates the accuracy and precise of the method.
