Abstract

SYNTHESIS, CHARACTERIZATION, ANTI-INFLAMMATORY, ANTIHELMENTIC ACTIVITY AND IN SILICO DOCKING STUDIES OF NOVEL IMIDAZOLINE DERIVATIVES

Tayaba Gousia, Sumer Singh, Khaja Pasha

ABSTRACT

In the present study, we synthesized a new series of novel imidazole derivatives by conventional method with simple substitutions, its contain indole, imidazole moieties and to screened the newly synthesized (6a-6o) derivatives and screen for their anthelmintic and anti-inflammatory activity. The present work which involves reaction between substituted Isatin with hydrazine hydrate to give Schiff’s bases of Isatin derivatives and it can be reacting with oxazolne-5-one derivatives to form respective 3-((4-((E)-benzylidene)-5-oxo-2-phenyl-4,5-dihydro-1H-imidazol-1-yl) imino -1-methylindolin-2-one compounds. The synthesized compounds were screened for in vitro Anti-inflammatory and Anthelmintic activities. All these synthesized products were purified through column chromatography and structures of these compounds were characterized by IR, 1H NMR and mass spectral data. Finally, were screened for their anthelmintic and anti-inflammatory activity and their efficacy were matched with standard drugs. The synthesized compound 6b, 6e, 6j, 6m and 6o are showed good Anti-inflammatory activities whereas compounds 6b, 6e, 6i, 6n and 6o are has showed maximum anthelmintic activity compare with Albendazole as a standard drug.

Keywords: Isatin, Imidazoline, substituted benzaldehyde, anthelmintic and anti-inflammatory and Albendazole, Sodium diclofenac sodium.
