Amit Kumar Mishra*, Manisha V. Bhalsing, Sapna Upadhyay, Abdul Mutallib and Satish Bajpai

ABSTRACT

Dosha Prakruti is an important physiological parameter of Ayurveda, and its derangement in various diseases is basis the pathological process of disorders. The scientific study about relationship between Dosha- Prakruti and heart rate variability is one of the most explored and relevant topics in the present scenario of dramatically increasing prevalence of cardiovascular diseases in the elderly population. The present observational study is an endeavor to explore the causal relationship between HRV and Dosha in the older adults and elderly populations and impact of exercise on these parameters. The study inferred that individuals with Vata Dosha are highly prone to develop increased HRV that underlines the propensity of developing sinus dysfunction and exercise is an important mode to stimulate the vagal tone for the healthy heart.Dosha Prakruti is an important physiological parameter of Ayurveda, and its derangement in various diseases is basis the pathological process of disorders.
