A REVIEW ON PERSONALIZED MEDICINE
Talib Mehdi*, Syed Ahmad Raza, Mohd Taha and Ayushi Pandey
ABSTRACT
There is a lot of hype surrounding the concept of „personal‟ medicine. Personalized medicine is based on the belief that since people have different and different genetic makeup, physiological, environmental and behavioral levels, they may need to find interventions for diseases that are designed for these unique and different characteristics. This belief has been confirmed to some degree by the use of emerging technologies such as DNA sequencing, proteomics, imaging systems, and wireless health monitoring devices, which have revealed significant differences between individuals in disease processes. In this
review, we consider the motive of personal medicine, its historical examples, the emerging technologies that allow it, some recent experiences that include successes and challenges, methods of testing and dispensing personal medicine, and future guidelines, which include potential treatments for individuals. With fertility and fertility problems. We also consider current limitations of personal medications. Finally we argue that since the characteristics of a personal medicine are based on the biological realities, personal medicine processes in some cases may be inevitable, especially as appropriate testing and use techniques are more effective and less expensive.
