TRIGUNA SIDDHANT – AN INNATE QUALITIES OF HUMAN BEING

ABSTRACT

Concept of Triguna is deliberated as an important concept of personality. Interest in this area is peaked in 1970s when theoretical works led to several questionnaires. although research on Triguna is sporadic and very few are aware of its consequences in one's life and very few attempts have been made to understand the Triguna as Sattva, Rajas, and Tamas. Gunas are inherited by an individual, both overt and covert are determined by Prakriti operating at that time. Prakriti pile up the perception, cognition, motivation, and values of an individual as well as it also influences well-being, this paper is present in light of these considerations, we discuss the concept of Triguna, characteristics of good or bad personalities and its manifestation and applied aspects in one's life, and further challenges in Triguna research.
