ABSTRACT
Thermosensitive polymer or the in-situ polymers is used to preparation of stimuli (external) sensitive gels, the stimuli like temperature, ions, pH, enzymes, dilution, light-sensitive etc. The in-situ and thermosensitive gels are also called Hydrogels. The main thermosensitive surfactant or polymer is poloxamer. Poloxamer 407 is a hydrophilic non-ionic surfactant of the more general class of copolymers known as poloxamers. Poloxamer-407 is at polypropylene glycol flanked by two hydrophilic blocks of polyethylene glycol (PEG). Thermo-sensitive (in-situ) gels has been widely used in tissue repairs and drug release for its property of phase transition in response to external stimuli, reusability and biocompatibility. In-situ or thermosensitive gelling agent Poloxamer 407 can be used to provide triggered action and customized products such as drug delivery and regenerative medicine types. The in-situ gelling agent poloxamer 407 transforms in to the gel by cold technique (temperature below 5 ̊C) with suitable dissolving medium (phosphate buffer solution) by continuously stirring, poloxamer 407 polymer change their physical properties in response to temperature, that’s reason it is called the thermosensitive polymer and the formation of gel called the thermosensitive gel. The in-situ moringa flowers extract gel is prepared by the thermosensitive polymer poloxamer 407 with drug (moringa flowers extract) and phosphate buffer solution by various phase changes methods, mainly in this work we prepare by the cold stirring method. The in-situ moringa flowers extract gel having the various therapeutic characteristics or medicinal properties. They show mainly the antidiabetic and some antitumor activity as a targeted release system as well as thermosensitive moringa flowers extract gel shows the liver protecting, treatment of stomach diseases, cardiovascular protecting activity and other treatment of diseases. To evaluate the thermosensitive (in-situ) gel by the various instrumental process like gelling time, gelling temperature, pH of gel, swelling time and Syringe ability of gel is helpful to development of in-situ moringa flowers extract gel.
