REVIEW OF MANSARAS WITH REFERENCE TO CHARAK SAMHITA, SUSHRUT SAMHITA, ASHTANG HRIDAY

ABSTRACT

Ahara plays important role in treatment. Ayurved samhitas includes wide description of recipes which help to recover from illness. Vagbhata describe importance of appropriate diet and regimen in treatment, He says without following diet and regimen what is the use of giving medicine but if appropriate diet and regimen is followed along with the medicine in disease condition then treatment is complete. Some recipes includes medicine also. Mansaras is one of them. Mansaras mainly use for nourishment purpose. Information of processing, uses are described scatterly in Brihattrayi.
