ABSTRACT

Constipation is a disease which is occurring in majority of middle age – old age persons. it mainly occurs due to vitiation of Vatadosha. The way a person indulges in diet and lifestyle habits is related to the formation of the disease. Main focus is on Aahara that is the food which a person eats and its relationship to constipation cases. What measures can be taken to prevent such a silent disease in the vulnerable age group is the main focus of this research. The cause of increasing cases of constipation and to find reason behind increasing cases in our locality is thoroughly been dealt in this review article.
