Abstract

AN ANALYSIS OF PHYSIOLOGICAL PARAMETERS OF BENGALI SCHOOL CHILDREN

ABSTRACT

Measurement of some physiological parameters like height, weight and BMI provides valuable information about the growth and well-being of children in a society. The study was carried out on Bengali boys and girls of 15 years of age in south Kolkata, West Bengal. Additionally, blood pressure was measured among them. The present study reveals that there is significant difference present between boys and girls at 15 years age group in most of the parameters measured except weight.
