Sarule Maharudra Balaji*, 1Bavage S. B. and 2Ajgunde B. R.

ABSTRACT

This study aimed to determine the efficacy of capsaicin in Kupffer cells, polymorphonuclear, stellate, and fibroblast cells in the liver of mice made of aflatoxin B1. 20 mice were used as a sample, distributed in four groups (T0) given 0.5 ml of polyethylene glycol, (T1) given 0.5 ml of capsaicin + 0.5 ml of polyethylene glycol, (T2) controlled by 0.1 ml of aflatoxin B1 + 0.5 ml of polyethylene glycol, (T3) was given 0.1 ml of aflatoxin B1 + 0,5 ml of capsaicin, respectively. All treatments are performed month and then followed by liver dissociation of hematoxylin eosin staining. Different cells are listed then analyzed using ANOVA and Tukey for multiple comparisons testing (p <0.05). Cell cut is shown that Kupffer cell, polymorphonuclear, stellate, and fibroblast cells are very good (p <0.05) in T3 group compared to T2 group. At that time, the T1 group showed the same (p> 0.05) and the T0 group. Can be concluded that capsaicin has the potential to improve cellular function in rat liver with aflatoxin B1 poison.

Keywords: Animal, Capsaicin, Kupffer cell, Stellate, Fibroblast, aflatoxin B1.
