REVIEW ON LOMASHATANA YOGA – AYURVEDIC FORMULATIONS FOR DEPILATION

ABSTRACT

Beauty enhances the self-confidence of an individual. Un-wanted hair which are present on the body causes cosmetological problems and rejection in the society which leads to psychological distress, especially in women. Many hair removal products available in the market are full of chemicals which may hamper the skin by allergic reactions, and other methods of hair removal like waxing, threading, shaving etc may leads to burns and scalds because of hot wax, pain and regrowth of hair, so there is need of review classically available depilatory formulations such as Harataladi yoga, Shamibeejadi lepa, Karaveeradya and Aragwadadi taila etc.
